“Christ took your cup of grief, your cup of the curse, pressed it to his lips, drank it to its dregs, then filled it with his sweet, pardoning, sympathizing love, and gave it back for you to drink, and to drink forever!” — Octavius Winslow (preacher, author)

What a wonderful description of what Jesus has done for me and for you!  It reminds me of a line in the song How Deep the Father’s Love for Us:

“Why should I gain from His reward?
          I cannot give an answer
But this I know with all my heart
His wounds have paid my ransom”

He took my curse; my punishment.

His wounds have paid my ransom, and He shares with me His reward.

Let’s celebrate this truth today with all of our hearts!  Sing for joy!  You have been redeemed!

@CSLewisDaily: Good & evil increase at compound interest. That’s why the little decisions we make every day are of infinite importance. #CSLewis
